1. Using the art design process helps a lot because you can figure out what you want to draw, paint, etc. based on the theme. It feels better now because I have more knowledge on how to make art better. I have learned what kind of artwork I like to make, and also, how to plan better. My technical skills have grown during the class as I had a lot of experience making a variation of art. I now plan before hand by researching other artists, sketching several times, and then making a final project.
2. I have improved at an artist because Mrs. Purtee taught me technical skills. In drawing with graphite, and painting, she taught me to blend the colors to make it look more realistic. She taught me proportions and how to make everything look real. One of my favorite units was vanishing points. Here is my artwork at the beginning of the class, and then the end.
You can see in the bottom one of the grass. I blended to of the greens together and made a more realistic scene. Also, the proportions of the house/shed are more realistic.
